Youth & Young Adult Ambassador Program

⁉️ About the Program

Welcome to the Take a Pain Check (TAPC) Ambassador Program — where passion meets purpose, and advocacy meets action. This year, we're not just inviting you to join a team. We're inviting you to join a movement.
Please note that we will only be taking 10 youth for this program. This program will begin in September.

As a TAPC Ambassador, you'll:

  • Empower patients and share the stories that often go unheard.

🌈 Roles & Responsibilities

  • Write engaging blog posts (on a scheduled basis)

  • Collaborate weekly with the TikTok Team to create fun, informative, trending content

  • Stay active in our Discord community to support other patients with rheumatic diseases

  • Help brainstorm and run TAPC awareness campaigns

  • Host Joint Chat Rheum sessions and Instagram/Tiktok Lives

  • Attend TAPC events and amplify them online

  • Use platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter to boost TAPC visibility

  • Create a presence for TAPC in your school, clinic, and/or community

  • Produce Fun Fact Friday videos to educate about rheumatic disease

  • Work with our coordinator on creating 1 fundraising initiative 

  • Use and distribute TAPC marketing materials from our Google Drive

  • Participate in Take a Pain Check events

  • Create 1 vlog for our youtube channel a year

✅ Requirements

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Are between ages 16-29 (exceptions considered with parental consent)

  • Live with a rheumatic disease

  • Located anywhere in the world

  • Are passionate about advocacy, raising awareness and community building

  • Stay active and engaged with current social media trends

  • Maintain active Instagram accounts 

  • Can commit 1 hour/week

  • Are reliable, creative, and collaborative

🚪 Meetings & Communication

  • Attend monthly meetings

  • Remain active in the Ambassador group chat

  • Use our Google Drive to stay updated
