Health Care Professional Ambassador (HCPA) Program
Take a Pain Check (TAPC)’s Healthcare professional ambassador program consists of physicians from a variety of specialties (residents, fellows and attendings) and allied healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities (~2 hours/month)

Engage with the rheumatic disease community from a patient perspective
-
Write at least one annual blog post on your research or rheumatic disease-related topics
-
Identify and share opportunities for TAPC sponsorships, conferences, and community grants
-
Collaborate with the HCPA Coordinator to apply for relevant clinic or hospital grants
-
Promote Joint Chat Rheum monthly support groups in your hospital and clinic, and encourage patient participation
-
Attend and promote TAPC-hosted events when possible to boost awareness and participation
-
Help grow TAPC and this program by contributing ideas and initiatives
-
Raise awareness of TAPC in your community - among patients, parents, allies, and rheumatologists
-
Share potential funding or networking connections (e.g., pharmaceutical companies, hospitals)
-
Support TAPC's social media by following, engaging, reposting content, and distributing promotional materials (e.g., posters, flyers, resource sheets)
-
(Optional) Create social media content (e.g., day-in-the-life videos for Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube)

The estimated time commitment for this role is up to 2 hours per month
Meetings & Communication

Attend one onboarding meeting
-
Attend quarterly meetings (4 per year) with other HCPA ambassadors and the HCPA Coordinator

Communicate in the HCPA chat while staying up-to-date with announcements
-
Reach out to other health professionals in/outside of your community to promote Take a Pain Check

Check your email to communicate with the team and stay up to date
