This is an all-in-one experiential learning and mindfulness event that will occur on Saturday, March 26th at 2pm EST/11am PST in honour of Juvenile Arthritis Awareness Month. This event is a 1 hour event open to anyone ages 13-25, however, practices will be modified in accordance to joint and pain accommodations.
*Note that if you’re experiencing pain on the day of the event, don’t be discouraged. You can participate by imagining the movements. This not only can be beneficial for your pain care, but the mindfulness practices can additionally help ease tension or stress. Join our facilitators, Neil Pearson and Elaine Oyang, as they help us learn self-regulation practices to manage pain and/or flares.

Neil Pearson
MSc, BScPT, BA-BPHE, CIAYT Pain Educator Physiotherapist Yoga Therapist
Neil is a physical therapist, yoga therapist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia. He is an author, international teacher of teachers, consultant to Lifemark clinics across Canada, and creator of many resources to help people in pain to live and move with more ease. Elaine Oyang
IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist
Elaine Oyang is a certified yoga therapist who specializes in 1:1 in-person and online care for those living with chronic pain. She aims to help her clients change their story with chronic pain, so that they can feel like themselves again and hit "RESUME" on their life. She draws her experiences from over 16 years of yoga studies to help her clients build their unique toolkit for resilience.
